Anthony Aust
Anthony Aust studied law at the London School of Economics. He joined the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office as a legal adviser in 1967, was posted in West Berlin from 1976 to 1979 and served as legal adviser to the UK Mission to the UN from 1988 to 1991. In addition to his wide experience of international law and constitutional law, he has also specialised in air and space law, the Geneva Conventions, Antarctica and counter-terrorism. Since 1993, Aust has been the deputy agent for the UK in the Lockerbie case in the International Court of Justice.
